About Us Elaine Smit Chow Bella was started by Elaine Smit as a way to share her love for cooking with others. She loves food, the Food Network, wine, cooking parties, and everything food and wine related. Her passion for cooking began as a little girl and only grew stronger when she had a family of her own. She is married to a devilishly handsome, super hardworking, successful financial dude (I’d hate to have his job right now). She has two ridiculously free spirited girls and two crazy cats which actually run her house. In her spare time you will find her sipping wine in Napa Valley, stalking her favorite celebrity chefs in Yountville and dreaming about becoming one herself.
Jenny Smit Jenny Smit is Elaine's 13-year-old daughter. She is responsible for creating and maintaining the website and other online aspects of Chow Bella. She also helps out as a dishwasher and assistant in some of the parties and classes. She, like her mom, has a passion for food, but Jenny enjoys baking and making sweets more than savory food. During her spare time she enjoys reading and hanging out with friends.
